Description Jason Rumney 2008-03-27 10:58:58 UTC
Sample file is at http://www.logic.at/prolog/problem.ppm

(this is from an Emacs user's bug report for the same problem in Emacs - the GIMP bug was noticed when I tried to view the same image in GIMP as a reference).

This file appears to conform to the current PPM specification at http://netpbm.sourceforge.net/doc/ppm.html which was updated in 2000 to increase the maximum color value from 255 to 65535. But GIMP refuses to display the image, stating "PNM: Invalid maximum value".
