GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 524141
Jamendo plugin not working
Last modified: 2008-03-24 20:35:26 UTC
Please describe the problem: The Jamendo music store plugin seems to load everything correctly, but then shows actually nothing. Steps to reproduce: 1. Start Rhythmbox 2. Go to Edit->Plugins and activate the Jamendo plugin 3. Click on "Jamendo" under "Stores" Actual results: The Jamendo plugin loads the catalogue, but then show "0 songs". Expected results: Usually, the Jamendo plugin loads and shows the entire catalogue correctly. Does this happen every time? Yes. Other information: I'm using Gnome 2.20 on Ubuntu 7.10 "Gutsy Gibbon". The same problem happens on Arch Linux and Ubuntu 8.04 "Hardy Heron" Alpha 6. The console prints out nothing special: --- lisa@HauptPC:~$ LC_ALL=C rhythmbox (rhythmbox:6768): Rhythmbox-WARNING **: Unable to start mDNS browsing: MDNS service is not running --- The problem is persistent since a week or so now. A few days ago, the Jamendo plugin just hung at the "intro" screen(the screen you an see if Rhythmbox is downloading the catalogue). Exactly the same behavior happened on the other distributions, but the console gave me(on all three): --- lisa@HauptPC:~$ rhythmbox (rhythmbox:7232): Rhythmbox-WARNING **: Unable to start mDNS browsing: Der MDNS-Service wird nicht ausgeführt (rhythmbox:7232): Gtk-WARNING **: JamendoDonateArtist: missing action JamendoDonateArtist Traceback (most recent call last):

--- I know that there was exactly this problem a while ago. I've "fixed" it by replacing my /usr/lib/rhythmbox/plugins/jamendo/JamendoSource.py against the one from SVN. That worked until ~ a week. I also tried the revert to the default version shipped by Ubuntu. I've also deleted ~/.gnome2/rhythmbox. But the problem still persists. Hope I missed nothing. Thank you, Lisa Denia
