Description Frederik Elwert 2008-03-17 15:44:21 UTC
The user should have the possibility to delete attachments from received messages.
It sometimes is desirable to keep a message, but delete attached files to save space on disk or on an IMAP mailbox.

There is a plugin that serves this purpose: http://people.debian.org.tw/~chihchun/2006/10/23/remove-attachments-plugin-for-evolution-001/
It should either be integrated in Evolution, or Evolution core should provide this funktionality.

There is a bug report where this issue already has been discussed: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=522826

err. well. reopen bug 205927 instead of filing bug 522989 instead, but i'd prefer to have mbarnes doing this as i'd open a can of worms.
Comment 2 Matthew Barnes 2008-03-18 01:03:36 UTC
Right, wasn't aware of that bug. Long requested feature, apparently.
Frederik, feel free to reopen it.

I would like to reopen it, but don't know how. Could somebody with the appropriate rights (or with better understanding of bugzilla) reopen it, please?

I still think that this is a valid request.

I'll reopen bug #205927 if you could add a comment there explaining why.
