Description Chris 2008-03-14 21:42:11 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When I use the edge effect in cheese, its as if a partial thumbnail of the image is overlaid across the top border of the image and repeated.

Sometimes when I combine another effect with edge, such as muave, then even more overlaid images start to flicker on and off over it quickly. Doesn't happen always

Pictures/Video are linked to below.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Turn on Edge effect.
2. Turn on Muave too.

Actual results:
(Normal picture - http://img120.imageshack.us/img120/8720/0004ub2.jpg )

1. Images are overlaid ontop of the normal edge-d picture.
( Example pic- http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/5369/0006xi7.jpg )

2. SOMETIMES even more are put on top, and it flickers wildly.
( Video - http://am49.frih.net/misc/0007.ogg )

Expected results:
No wild glitches.

Does this happen every time?
The edge problem, always. The edge+muave glitch, not always.

Other information:
I have a v4l2-webcam, 64-bit Ubuntu 7.10, a dual-core system, Nvidia 8600M GS, and the latest stable gstreamer compiled from source installed.

Here is what the console shows from "cheese -v" when I run it:

****@****:~$ cheese -v
