Description Matthew Paul Thomas (mpt) 2008-03-13 04:32:30 UTC
gThumb 2.10.6, Ubuntu Hardy

1. Start gThumb for the first time.

What happens: The window appears at the top left of the screen.
What should happen: The window appears centered on the screen.

Window positioning is controlled by the window manager, not gthumb. See bug 167050.

Comment 2 Matthew Paul Thomas (mpt) 2008-03-14 00:30:02 UTC
Bug 167050 is about saving window size and position. When gThumb is started for the first time, there is no previous size and position to save. Therefore, this is not a duplicate of bug 167050.
Comment 3 Michael Chudobiak 2008-03-14 12:16:42 UTC
OK, but it is still up to the window manager to manage the windows. This isn't a gThumb issue.

There used to be a thumbnailing specification at http://jens.triq.net/thumbnail-spec/index.html, but it seems to have vanished...

Whoops, ignore the last comment - wrong bug report.
