@Massimo: This still happens for symbol-db, shouldn't be difficult to fix!
Comment 2 Massimo Cora' 2008-08-20 21:15:16 UTC
indeed.
Can you please assign this to me?
It probably has a dependence to #548749
Comment 3 Massimo Cora' 2008-08-20 21:20:03 UTC
btw: I can reproduce this with symbol-browser, but not with symbol-db.

Comment 4 Johannes Schmid 2008-08-21 09:42:32 UTC
Hmm, I could also reproduce this with symbol-db but I will post detailed instructions here...
Comment 5 Johannes Schmid 2008-08-21 10:16:55 UTC
Reprouce:
- Open Project
- Close all files (Local tab is cleared)
- Open ChangeLog and src/about.c
- Close ChangeLog
- Close about.c
=> Symbols are still shown
Comment 6 Massimo Cora' 2008-08-21 10:23:26 UTC
oh well, yes you're right. I was closing the project instead, as written in the first comment.
Comment 7 Massimo Cora' 2008-08-23 15:54:56 UTC
Symbol-db v 1.0 rc5 on bug #358479 should fix this problem.
Please let me know if it works for you.

Comment 8 Johannes Schmid 2008-08-26 11:31:26 UTC
Works now for symbol-db. Leaving the bug open for now as it still happens with symbol-browser though I doubt we will ever fix it before migrating to symbol-db.

hmm really? It works here.
Steps I do with symbol-browser:
1. open a simple project (no previous files loaded)
2. open some files of that project
3. close project [or close all].

then symbols on local tab vanish as it should.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
