Description Victor Zamanian 2008-03-07 13:59:58 UTC
I believe it would add to the usability of nautilus if one could mark files by pressing the mouse button and dragging to make a rectangle. Just as one can mark adjacent files/folders in a folder in icon view, so should one be able to mark files in list view.

I would also like to add split list view into two types: detailed list, and regular list. Detailed list would behave just as list view is, currently (except for the marking of files obviously), and regular list would be a list sorted vertically and by columns, scrolled sideways. Regular list would of course also have the ability to mark files by drawing a rectangle with the mouse pointer.

Forgot to mention about the list types:

regular list obviously wouldn't have any details like size, modification time, owner or anything like that--just the icons!

Please file a bug report for each issue. Multiple requests in a single report are more likely to be ignored by the developers. The first request you make here is a dup of bug #375469. Also, the other requests are dups of other bugs laying around here in bugzilla, so I'm closing this as a duplicate.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.
