Description Andrzej Mendel 2008-03-04 11:33:04 UTC
In sticky mode deskbar's window is way too small horizontally so only part of action names are shown (e.g. I get "Search foo with Go...") and doesn't resize vertically to accomodate for all actions (I have space for only 3 actions so I have to scroll the list which is bad).

Thanks for reporting this bug!

The popup should resize to 80% of your window height (and it does on my machine). What resolution are you using?
Comment 2 Andrzej Mendel 2008-03-04 22:54:39 UTC
I am using 1280x1024. What window height are you talking about?
Comment 3 Sebastian Pölsterl 2008-03-04 22:57:47 UTC
I use 1280x800.

Does the window height change when you enter a search term at all, or is it just too small?
Comment 4 Andrzej Mendel 2008-03-05 08:07:37 UTC
When I click on deskbar's icon I get a popup that's pretty small horizontally, but has sufficient height. When I enter any search term it's height increases but only as much as to accomodate for only 3 actions.

Could we clarify that in sticky mode window==popup?
Comment 5 Sebastian Pölsterl 2008-03-07 10:09:29 UTC
Yes, in the sticky mode, the window is actually a popup in technical terms.

Could you post a screenshot that illustrates the problem?

I use 1280x800 and I have the same issue. I post a couple of screenshots above.
Comment 11 Josh Smith 2008-04-10 19:23:35 UTC
I'm on 1280x800 and also have the same problem as sebastian - when searching with the "sticky" window, there is only enough room for the top two results.
Comment 12 Josh Smith 2008-04-10 20:07:02 UTC
I think it's somehow related to the number of results. I've just let Tracker index my home directory, and so I'm getting many more results than I did previously - the sticky resizes to accommodate them. If I enter a search term that only returns a handful of results, the sticky still stays too small though.
Why can't it resize for all searches with more than two results?
Comment 13 Sebastian Pölsterl 2008-04-11 10:15:14 UTC
This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
