GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 519357
Make confirmation dialogues configurable
Last modified: 2021-05-26 09:58:02 UTC
Make it possible to disable transient dialogues (such as 'are you sure?' when selecting new), as some users with accessibility needs are unable to interact with them easily.
Is this an active bug?
It may be a year old and not getting any attention, but I believe it is still relevant.
I tried to reproduce this bug with the help of http://www.dasher.org.uk/TryJavaDasherNow.html, and the stable release for Windows Vista . After I have a sentence( I used the touchpad ) , I saved it to a file , and clicked on new. I haven't received any prompt, and started a new sentence right away.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org. As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled). If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent and supported software version, then please follow https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines and create a new enhancement request ticket at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/dasher/-/issues/ Thank you for your understanding and your help.
