Description Michael Monreal 2008-02-24 13:52:11 UTC
Bookmark icons of network:/// and dns-sd:/// show the folder icon but change to a computer/network icon when pressed.

My sftp:// mounts show the folder icon first, too, but change to a file icon wile mounting and then change to a network folder when mounted.

While some mounted/unmounted status indicator could make sense, this is not even the case here.

-> GIO.
Comment 2 Cosimo Cecchi 2008-02-25 13:57:04 UTC
Confirming, I see this too.
Comment 3 Michael Monreal 2008-03-01 22:02:43 UTC
Changing title, as all special backends seem to be affacted. In addition to the backend listed above:

- Bluetooth bookmark: changes from folder to a text icon and stay like this
- FTP bookmark: changes from a folder icon to a text icon while mounting and then back to a folder icon
- SMB bookmark: changes from a folder icon to a network share icon

The file chooser seems to show network share icons for all of the special URI bookmarks, regardless if they are mounted or not. It does however display other names. I hope this display can be unified... so whatever icons will be used here in the end, please make sure the file chooser will use the same.
Comment 4 Michael Monreal 2008-03-05 23:26:40 UTC
Disregard my last comment, I was not using the GIO filechooser backend.

The bug is half-outdated anyway, so I filed a new, up-to-date bug which also includes all backends and mark this one as a duplicate, hope you don't mind.
