Description David Prieto 2008-02-11 16:57:29 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Originally posted to Ubuntu Launchpad: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/187978

Looking for a method to start RB playing, and since there is not a launch option that lets you do so, I tried using the command "rhythmbox & rhythmbox-client --play", which should in theory start RB and THEN make it start playing right away.

It does not work. RB starts, but does not play. I tried "rhythmbox && sleep 20 && rhythmbox-client --play", too, but I got the same results.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Use the command "rhythmbox && sleep 20 && rhythmbox-client --play"

Actual results:
RB opens, but does not play.

Expected results:
RB should open and start playing.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.
