GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 513053
Names in sheet - moving problems
Last modified: 2008-01-30 15:00:43 UTC
Gnumeric 1.6.3 - Linux Fedora 7 x86_64 But probably the same problem is in newer Gnumeric versions too. I created a sheet in a gnumeric and I defined some Named cells (Insert -> Define names). Next I needed to move the cells (CTRL-X ... CTRL-V), but the names stay attached to the original cells, not to the new posittions. The same when I deleted some rows (Edit .. Delte .. Rows) or collumns. For example: Some_name - define it at cell A3 and fill it by value 2.1 Cell A4 is empty Cell A1 "=Some_name" ... value 2.1 Now delete full row A2 by click to A2 amd Edit -> Delete -> Row Value from A3 is moved to A2, value from A4 is moved to A3 (this is OK) But cell A1 loss reference, "=#REF!" and "Some_name" stay attached at A3 (this is wrong). I thing the right and logical behavior is, when I delete row A2, the "Some_value" will be reattached to A2 and A1 doesn't loss connection to the name "Some_value". The same problem and the same expected behavior is about CTRL-X .. CTRL-V. Best regards, Martin Proks Other information:
