GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 512678
Arabic text isn't joined in gnome-terminal
Last modified: 2010-12-02 01:17:13 UTC
Hello Please fix vte so that Arabic text is joined when it is used on gnome-terminal or xfce-terminal or any other terminal that is based on vte. Having the Arabic text joined is a very basic requirement, Arabic is a recursive language (letters attached to each other) and it is very annoying to even try to read it with the letters un-joined. So please fix it. Thanks,
It's "cursive", not "recursive" :).
Ah, right ;).
I solve the problem here http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=321490
this bug is solve?, can we close the bug?
no because the patch was rejected and even worse it's no longer applicable because the file it used to patch is removed why it's unconfirmed
