Description freggy1 2008-01-23 19:51:28 UTC
Some random (ogg vorbis) files in my rhythmbox played, cannot be played. The artitst, title and album information about these songs is correctly shown in Rhythmbox, however when double clicking on it, Rhythmbox does not start to play. In the console, it prints endlessly these messages:

Rhythmbox-Message: Missing plugin: gstreamer|0.10|rhythmbox-metadata|application/x-ms-dos-executable decoder|decoder-application/x-ms-dos-executable
Rhythmbox-Message: Automatic missing codec installation not supported (helper script missing)

The files in question can be played fine with ogg123 and totem-gstreamer.

I can send a problematic file in private (e.g. by e-mail?) if needed.

Mandriva Cooker, x86_64, rhythmbox-0.11.4-2mdv2008.1, lib64gstreamer0.10_0.10-0.10.15-1mdv2008.1, lib64gstreamer-plugins-base0.10-0.10.14-1mdv2008.0, gstreamer0.10-plugins-good-0.10.6-3mdv2008.0
