GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 511354
firefox: cannot press enter to activate links in area tags, although tabbing works.
Last modified: 2008-07-22 19:33:39 UTC
Please describe the problem: on www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/ going down to a-z: z x y ... usually it is sufficient to arrow across to the link and press enter whilest orca is controlling the navigation, currently the user has to tab across to the letter then press enter. (this is just an inconsistancy) the usual behavior: in lines where more than one link is available, arrowing across to the right link and pressing enter activates the link. Steps to reproduce: www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/ also can be seen on: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_area.asp under the "example" level 2 heading. Actual results: we cannot simply press enter to activate, we have t tab across. Expected results: Does this happen every time? yes Other information:
Thanks Jon! I'll take a look.

Thanks, patch working fine.
I can't find any links on these two example pages where I can't arrow and press enter. This patch looks good.
