GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 511254
Proxy settings doesn't affect Evolution
Last modified: 2009-02-06 11:23:54 UTC
I'm sitting behind a proxy, which is set up in my system's settings as default proxy (using Ubuntu). When adding a webcal to Evo now brings the following message up: Error blahblahblah, Proxy Authentication Required. Meaning the systems proxy settings are not being respected in Evo. So I can't use Webcal.
This is still actual on version 2.22.2. I can't receive my POP mail account behind the proxy, even if the system's proxy settings are correct. I'm moving this to Evolution because it seems to be a general issue.
http://svn.gnome.org/viewvc/evolution-data-server?view=revision&revision=8581 - Does it help (committed for 2.24) ?
Anyone able to test? Don't wanna go through compilation procedure on a company's laptop.
If an user authentication module can be included for the proxy settings (like the one found in Iceweasel) it would be really helpful.
I'm marking this as a duplicate of the later bug, because it's about the new feature in 2.24. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 555888 ***
