Description Roger Sæle 2008-01-21 19:37:23 UTC
My Wacom Bamboo Fun Medium tablet is working fine in GIMP, with pressure and everything. But from time to time the cursor freezes. I take the pin in and out of the active area (out of focus or whatever), and after a while (of random length of about 1-10 sec.) it works again. Then I can draw for a while before it freezes again. Sometimes it helps tapping the tablet with the eraser and it comes to life again. It seems to happen randomly, sometimes I can draw for a long period of time without problems.

I get the same problem with both my desktop computer and my laptop.

I use (on both computers):

WinXP Pro SP2
GIMP 2.4.2 (GTK+ 2.10.0)
Wacom Bamboo Driver 5.05-7

Please ask Wacom then to improve support for their tablets in GTK+. I don't think there is anything we can do about this issue in GIMP.
