Description Luca Ferretti 2008-01-14 10:42:26 UTC
GNOME-vfs is going to be deprecated, replaced by GIO/GVFS.

Note that EoG is using GNOME-vfs to open non local files, but also to move images to trash. GIO/GVFS implements the freedesktop.org Trash spec: this means the GIO applications (i.e. Nautilus) will check for trashed items in $XDG_DATA_HOME/Trash (that usually is ~/.local/share/Trash), not in ~/.Trash. So, but I didn't checked, if you move an image to trash in EoG, you could not find it in your Trash.

Apart, move to GIO is The Right Thing.
