Description Riccardo Setti 2008-01-08 13:30:47 UTC
Hi guys,

at the moment if you build f-spot with beagle support you have to install beagled on your computer.

Normally this should not be a problem because if you compile f-spot by yourself YOU are enabling beagle support.

With distro this could be a problem.

Distro-maintainers are happy to enable beagle support because they *should*only* depend on libbeagle-dev. But..

F-spot at runtime will check if the beagle daemon is avaiable ifnot it will crash as it is a runtime deps.

Could you please make it a modular deps? So people can decide to use or not the beagle feature coded into f-spot?

thank you in advance,
riccardo
