how to find:
Try to add Timezone: (time Applet ->Edit)
Location->(Find the Name, not input) Amritsar (name)
then see the Default timezone

it is Kabul (AST), but should be Calcutta (India)

This is the new intlclock applet I think. Maybe it's just a bug in the tzdata package in your distro?
Comment 3 Dan Winship 2008-06-18 15:19:25 UTC
this is just another dup of the bad automatic timezone selection bug in the first version of intlclock, now fixed
