GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 507142
Tabbing in split transactions
Last modified: 2018-06-29 21:58:25 UTC
The Windows version appears to handle tabbing differently as I did not have this problem in my Linux version. In the register, when I am adding lines to a split transaction, every time I tab past the end of one line, it returns the cursor to the top, main entry instead of a new blank line. This slows things down immensely when working with large splits.
Paying more attention I see that it is somewhat intermittent. Usually in a Liability account it tabs fine but not always. It never tabs right in Asset accounts.
I believe it has to do with whether or not it is a "clean" transaction when I hit Split or if it was auto-filled from a prior entry and I "Remove Split" and then "Split" again. If it's new it seems to tab fine, otherwise it does not.
