When using the symbol-db plugin and editing a file anjuta sometimes completely freezes for several seconds. It seems this is during update of the file symbols. 

This should be done in the background without a notable UI freeze.

how many symbols are in the file you are editing?
Do you have the freeze only with some files or with many?

Probably fixed with the patch provided as 'Symbol-db v 1.0 beta2' on bug #358479.
