Description pgfrancis 2007-12-31 22:42:53 UTC
Date format error in Contacts section of Evolution. (UK default installation settings)

Using Evolution contact editor to create a new contact, whose birthday is 25/12/1907, is not possible because the date entry field is in the format dd/mm/yy. I was expecting the default for the UK to be dd/mm/yyyy. Keying the date with a 4 digit year value triggers the message, 'Invalid Date Value'.

After a new installation of Suse 10.3 Gnome, choosing the graphical installation route and using all the default settings for London, UK, the problem is apparent.

Installation was done with a clean drive, so no settings from any previous installations were picked-up.

The problem has consistently been reproduced on several makes and models of PC. (problem also exists with default UK settings in Evolution on Ubuntu)

Distribution: openSUSE 10.3 (i586)
Gnome Release: 2.20.0 2007-09-22 (SUSE)
