Description spam 2007-12-24 19:34:43 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Whenever I use istanbul (both the Ubuntu-provided version, and the version from SVN) to record data, it always "hangs" on the "In process of saving to disk." part, after I click to end the recording. This happens even if I record very short clips (1-2 seconds long), and the "In process" message doesn't ever finish -- I let the computer stand overnight once and in the morning nothing had changed.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start istanbul.
2. Click record icon.
3. Immediately or not immediately, click again. Results are the same.

Actual results:
The app says "In process of saving to disk." for ever.

Expected results:
I would expect it to finish within a reasonable amount of time.

Does this happen every time?
Yes. And on both versions (gusty-provided and SVN version) of istanbul.

Other information:
My platform is amd64. This most likely is the culprit.

After reading bug #430151 I tried disabling sound and things worked exactly as described in that bug. So closing this one, marking it as a duplicate of #430151.
