GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 504628
Problem with Wacom Bamboo Fun Tablet under Windows XP SP2
Last modified: 2008-10-30 20:06:34 UTC
Please describe the problem: The cursor freeze and only responsive sometimes. This applies to the whole screen in which the cursor freeze both inside and outside GIMP window. Strange thing is that the mouse seems to work OK but not the tablet. The tablet will only become normal after the GIMP is closed. I'm demanding, if possible, fix this issue please since the tablet work well with other applications such as photoshop cs2 and corel painter 3. So fixing this bug is not an impossible 'mission', right? Steps to reproduce: 1. Flip upside down to interact the stylus eraser with the tablet 2. 3. Actual results: Sometimes the cursor becomes responsive but not all time. Expected results: Does this happen every time? YES. Everytime when GIMP is started up. Other information: I work with gimp under windows XP sp2 professional edition to be specific. I heard that this bug also affect the ordinary bamboo tablet(not the fun series). Since bamboo tablet is new, so I hope you guys can take some time to fix this bug. Thank you!
Does the tablet work with other GTK+-based applications? Inkscape, for example?
Hey, The same problem happens for me in inkscape too. Specifically, the bamboo tablet mouse and pen/pointer do not work, or cease to work after a bit. The main mouse still functions correctly. I too am using Windows XP/SP2 Thanks -Andy
