Description Frank Griffin 2007-12-14 23:25:37 UTC
Please describe the problem:
file-roller refuses to open archives that have been renamed from an "approved" extension. For example, if I create a foo.tar.bz2, file-roller will open it without complaint. If I rename the file to foo.tar.bz2_1, it will claim that the file is not a valid archive.

It should be using "file" or an intenal equivalent to decide what the file is, not the filename.

Steps to reproduce:
See description.

Does this happen every time?
