Please describe the problem:
Bastien asked for a tracker bug to help people follow the progress of DVD playback in GStreamer:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=344415#c7

If nothing else, a tracker bug gives bug reports in distributions something to point to, e.g.:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/41335
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=370789

At the moment, DVDs do not work correctly in Totem-GStreamer. As I understand it, this is because there is no support for DVD menus etc.:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=330086#c8
"
Tim-Philipp Müller
The DVD stuff isn't robust enough yet for that (seeking is still a bit wonky,
no subtitles yet, no menus yet).

It will be enabled again as soon as it's in a state where we wouldn't
immediately incur hundreds of bug reports from users.

For the time being you can watch DVD titles in totem by selecting 'Open
Location' and then passing a dvd://<title-number> URI to totem.
"

According to http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=370789#15
"Yeah, DVD support was turned off in Totem 1.4 built with GStreamer 0.10
because the relevant plugins have not been ported between GStreamer 0.8
 and 0.10.
"

A summary of bugs relating to this follows:

Bug 344415 - DVDs cannot be played from the menu because this has been deliberately disabled until DVD support is better.

Bug 311071 – Internal GStreamer error when displaying DVD menu

Bug 331568 – allow to use "totem dvd://" to open a DVD

Bug 340433 – [dvdread] fails to play certain DVDs with playbin and Totem

It would be excellent if somebody could point to bugs documenting the missing pieces for proper DVD support. Tim, can you help?

If it is correct that the relevant plugins exist in 0.8 and need to be ported to .10, it would be good to see a bug report requesting the porting.

What more is needed?
- Menu support plugin
- [...]

Steps to reproduce:
Try to get to a DVD menu using Totem-GStreamer.

Actual results:

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?

Please don't create tracker bugs when you don't have rights to add blockers and depends, or you're not one of the developers.

Bug 331568 is unrelated to this as well. And bug 311071 was against 0.8.
