Description Magnetizer 2007-12-08 21:13:31 UTC
Dear people,

First of all, I really like the work you have been doing on the tracker search tool!

What I'm wondering about is why there is no wildcard support in the gnome tracker application.

A file on my desktop called "ubuntu installation.txt" can most certainly be found with the search query "ubuntu" or "installation" but not with the search query "install*". This would be very nice because in general I do not have the prior knowledge whether the name of the file is "ubuntu install.txt" or "ubuntu installation.txt".

I'm very curious whether wildcard support is one the features you are working on. What make me even more curious is that I couldn't find any questions / answers related to this issue. Am I really the only one asking about this feature?

I would appreciate any reaction according to my question.

Kind regrads,

André Kaldenhoven
