It happend three times to me, that I turned off computer, while my brother was logged in (I simply forgotten about that), and he lost data at least once.

If we want Linux to be even more user-friendly, there is warning needed in situations like this. When choosing to turn off computer while another user is logged in, Gnome should inform about that and give possibilty to cancel action.
