GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 501409
No warning when turning off computer if other users are logged in
Last modified: 2009-06-19 12:21:06 UTC
It happend three times to me, that I turned off computer, while my brother was logged in (I simply forgotten about that), and he lost data at least once. If we want Linux to be even more user-friendly, there is warning needed in situations like this. When choosing to turn off computer while another user is logged in, Gnome should inform about that and give possibilty to cancel action.
This is now tracked in gnome-session bug 569668. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 569668 ***
