GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 500463
Cannot delete pages from GtkAssistant
Last modified: 2018-03-26 15:03:55 UTC
If I set the "size" property of a GtkAssistant widget to a value less than the current value, the last pages won't be deleted, even if the last pages are empty (no child widgets set), and a zero value is displayed in the size property.
I can confirm this. Plus, I don't know how to add new pages to the assistant. When I increase the page number, new <child> elements are added to the glade file, with a <placeholder> child. But I don't see any possibility to access them from within Glade.
This is still a problem in 3.6.7. Pages can be added to the assistant but they cannot be deleted.

Since the important text was in the duplicate bug... copy/pasting the text inline here: -------------------------------------------------------- The GtkBox will not let you decrease items if you have a widget in the last position (i.e. it would cause an orphaned project widget not retrievable after undo/redo). GtkBox also has context menu items "insert before/after" and also "remove slot" to simply remove a placeholder. What we need to do is implement the same kindof handling we do for notebooks in the assistant.
In Glade 3.20 continues existing this bug.. 9 years later.
