Please describe the problem:
I use Gnumeric to produce graphs for scientific publication and need to be able to specify wheather I want to use a decimal point (".") or a decimal comma (",") as the decimal separator. I cannot find a way of changing on graphs X or Y axis.

Steps to reproduce:
I am using Ubuntu and Swedish as the default language. Just make a graph an to change wheather the graph should show , or .

By changing the default language for gnome to English, the problem went away. This is however not really a good solution...

You could just change the decimal separator of your locale to use decimal period rahter than decimal comma. There is no need to change the language.

For example you could run gnumeric as:
LC_NUMERIC=en_CA LC_MONETARY=en_CA gnumeric

This should give you your default language with Canadian English customs for numbers.

I think the decimal separator setting should be a document property. 

I'm french, I usually write my document in french and want comma as decimal separator, but sometimes I need to do my work in english and in this case I'd like to have point as decimal separator in the document I'm working on.

This issue affects gnumeric, not only the charting engine.
