GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 494489
Different hardcopy prints from display.
Last modified: 2007-11-07 16:43:06 UTC
Please describe the problem: When I printed an all text worksheet the prints are black rectangles instead-- this is with Ver 1.7.10. With Ver. 1.6.3, I get a garbage-like printouts from the same all-text worksheet. I am using an Epson LX300+ II and its driver is installed correctly. I confirm its correctness by printing an all-text document using AbiSoft. I'm running Gnumeric 1.7.10 on WinXP Pro Edition on an ASUS/Intel machine. I have read this sort of "complain" around here but I failed to get a coherent resolution to the problem. Steps to reproduce: 1. Installed Gnumeric 1.7.10 2. Created an all-text on a 6x6 matrix beginning at A1. 3. Did a normal print command by clicking on the usual buttons. 4. (Printer was turned on beforehand) And stood openmouthed in amazement after the printing was done. 5. Decided to make a simple document (like, the quick brown fox...) and print it using the same printer on the same computer and it printed fine. Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Always. And this happened also with version 1.6.3 Other information:
Printing is a quite sore point in the current win32 support. We're working on it.
