Description simon80 2007-11-02 10:16:03 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I'm using metacity as shipped in Ubuntu 7.10. Maximize window vertically seems to ignore panels when picking a size for the window. Also, after using one of the two shortcuts, hitting the other one maximizes the window in both directions, even if the window is at its original size

Steps to reproduce:
1. Bind "Maximize window vertically" and "Maximize window horizontally" to a shortcut
2. Use one twice, then use the other

Actual results:

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?
No, after moving my gnome-panel to the bottom of the screen, and then back up to the top, the size problem has temporarily disappeared. Using both shortcuts together is still broken though.

I'm reopening this bug, with emphasis on the bug that can be reproduced by the steps provided in the description, since that behaviour isn't mentioned in the other bug.
