GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 491652
Use user's preferred search tool, don't hardcode gnome-search-tool
Last modified: 2008-02-06 22:43:45 UTC
When you type the SEARCH_KEY, gnome-settings-daemon is able to open only "gnome-search-tool" application. Here is a patch to use instead the user's preferred search tool. Of course you need new GConf key (libgnome) and UI to edit (Default Applications capplet).

See bug 491650 and d-d-l discussion for reasoning.
