GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 491215
Print dialog does not work and crashes
Last modified: 2007-10-30 23:19:03 UTC
Print dialog seems not to work on my system and sometimes it even crashes after I do an action (press a button, for example) inside of it. System: Window XP Professional. Printer: Epson r220.
Please explain exactly what does not work or how to make it crash. Most of this dialog is just the default Print dialog from GTK+, so we would have to reassign that report.
Created attachment 98133 [details] Step 1-2 I installed Gimp 2.4 over Gimp 2.2 where printing worked well
Created attachment 98134 [details] Step 3-4 After opening Print dialog and pressing <Adjust Page size and Orientation> nothing happens
Created attachment 98135 [details] Step 5 After leaving the tab and returning to it again the page is empty
Created attachment 98136 [details] Step 6 After pressing selected button (<Settings>) the error message appears
Created attachment 98137 [details] Step 7 It says: "Instruction by address <...> tried to read address <...>. The memory cannot be read"
Created attachment 98138 [details] Step 8 The following Gimp message is shown after pressing OK or Cancel in the previous message box
It works a bit differently (but still wrong) against GTK+ 2.12, but that is an aready reported bug. Please note that GTK+ 2.10 is no longer maintained. Hopefully the next installer of GIMP for Windows will be bundled with the latest GTK+ 2.12. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 480086 ***
