Description Toms Bauģis 2007-10-27 16:01:32 UTC
Currently smart playlist creation dialog is modal, thus, while configuring playlist, one can not jump back to main window to test queries on place.

Removing modality from playlist creation window would improve usability.

The way that your use-case could be better accommodated (IMO) is by letting users turn queries directly into smart playlists. I thought that was already filed (was something we'd actually intended to have done by 1.0, but didn't happen) but I don't see it, so I'll rename this.
Comment 2 Serrano Pereira 2010-03-15 00:33:59 UTC
This is exactly the functionality I was missing in Banshee. I just asked for this functionality on Bug 571105.
Comment 3 Matt Price 2010-11-19 02:08:05 UTC
also really interested i nseeing this happen, I hope it hasn't completely dropped off the radar.

Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
