Unable to retreive Global address list from exchange server.
It keeps asking for a password but never comes to the GAL itself.

Can you have a look at bug #500389. Is this the same problem?

Did you enter IP address of GAL in preference ? Can you please try current stable 2.24.4 and report back, thanks.
