What version of gmime do you have installed?
I have GMime 2.2.10-35. On SuSE 10.3
I have seen this somewhere before and it was some gmime related problem. I checked the attached file and this time too, extract-content ran happily on the file (both 0.2.18 and svn trunk). Have gmime-2.2.10. But off the top of my head, I can't think of anything that can cause this problem.
Next thing to try would be to send SIGQUIT to the hung beagle-extract-content process.

Do you have gmime and gmime-sharp in sync ?
There is something wrong with Opensuse gmime :). Duplicate of 485005. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 485005 ***
