Description Stefan Sauer (gstreamer, gtkdoc dev) 2007-10-20 19:13:20 UTC
I have gnome-menus-2.20.0-3 installed.

When I run the menu editor I find severla occurance of these CRITICALS in my .xsession-errors

(gmenu-simple-editor:6478): libgnomevfs-CRITICAL **: gnome_vfs_get_uri_from_local_path: assertion `g_path_is_absolute (local_full_path)' failed
(gmenu-simple-editor:6478): libgnomevfs-CRITICAL **: gnome_vfs_monitor_add: assertion `text_uri != NULL' failed

They also come up when I run it manually
> gmenu-simple-editor --help

(gmenu-simple-editor:31894): libgnomevfs-CRITICAL **: gnome_vfs_get_uri_from_local_path: assertion `g_path_is_absolute (local_full_path)' failed
(gmenu-simple-editor:31894): libgnomevfs-CRITICAL **: gnome_vfs_monitor_add: assertion `text_uri != NULL' failed

(btw. you should support --version and --help, GNOME is a GNU project and GNU app require this and its good anyway)

According to http://git.gnome.org/browse/archive/gnome-menu-editor/log/ this module has not seen any code changes for the last six years. I consider it highly unlikely that it will suddenly see further active development.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping - Please feel
free to reopen this bug report in the future if anyone takes the responsibility
for active development again.
