Description John Russell 2007-10-18 13:23:52 UTC
When my laptop switches from wired to wireless network interfaces or visa versa, evolution seems to partially understand. It is able to check for new email because the unread count on my inbox goes up, but the list of emails on the right never updates to show these new emails.

Changing folders does not help, nor does Send/Receive. Only a restart of evolution shows the new emails after the network interface has changed. After that, new emails show up as normal until the next switch of network interfaces.

I am receiving mail through the Microsoft Exchange Connector.

I have the same problem. It also occurs if the wireless network goes down and then comes back up. So it appears that any network outage causes the problem, not just changing from one interface to another.

milepore's comments seem to jive with other similar bug reports

the current imap code is very poor when dealing with unexpected network suckage.
