What were you doing when the application crashed?
I'd just installed a Rhythmbox plugin found on the Ubuntu Forums. It was written for the old style, but updated to the 2.20 style. But either way, it was a third party plugin that probably killed it. Just submitting this in case it's somehow still useful.
