GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 484839
Threading && Sort by oldest date doesn't have correct sorting
Last modified: 2012-01-27 18:24:03 UTC
Die Ordnung nach Datum ist nicht möglich, dh. es kommt: 9. jul 12. jul 16. Aug Mi 9:11 13 Juli usw. alles teilweise richtig, insgesamt unbrauchbar Distribution: Ubuntu 7.04 (feisty) Gnome Release: 2.18.1 2007-04-11 (Ubuntu) BugBuddy Version: 2.18.1
IMAP or POP? How exactly do you sort (clicking the headers of the columns)? Works here...
I use Pop and sort by clicking the headers of the columns.
can i get a screenshot?

Created attachment 146049 [details] [review] eds patch for evolution-data-server; a little change in there, to not mess up costly done sorting of uids at the beginning, before starting actual threading process.
Created commit 3610ba4 in eds master (2.29.1+)
Created attachment 146059 [details] [review] evo patch for evolution; Quite complicated, but works fine here.
Created commit bfef844 in evo master (2.29.1+)

Thanks for the fix :-)
Created attachment 150339 [details] my views definition I have 2.28.2 on Fedora 12 and I still see this bug! :( Look at my screenshots. One conversation is threaded but most of them are not!?! Am I doing something wrong or is this bug somehow making some conversations threaded and some not.
Created attachment 150340 [details] some are threaded but others are not?!?
Is it possible that these messages do not have thread context ("In-Reply-To" header) but should be threaded by subject and you do not have "Fall back to threading by subject" enabled under Edit->Preferences->Mailer->General ? I've installed a new machine the day before yesterday and forgot about that setting and then wasted half an hour looking for it.
I also wanted to say that with 2.28.2, at least my problem (threading order gets confused when deleting messages that have too close time stamps) seems to be fixed. Thanks.
