Remove shadows/borders from scrollwindow (1.13 KB, patch)

Description Mark Howard 2007-10-08 11:44:27 UTC
When I run in full screen mode, there is a very small (1 or 2 pixels) border around the vnc window. With both local and remote machine having the same resolution this results in scrollbars when they really shouldn't be needed -- the borders cover 2 pixel width rows then the scrollbars cover another 10 each!

Remove shadows/borders from scrollwindow

This patch removes a couple of shadows & borders from the scrolledwindow & the viewport within it. I've not tested with a large VNC server display yet, but it might do the trick for you....

Thanks, Daniel.

It solves one part of problem, which is the thin border. It's gone.

But the scrollbars are still there :(

I sent an email to the gtk list about that. In the last case, i'll do what you suggested, hiding the scrollbars by hand, when vnc size <= screen size.

Thanks again,
 Wendell.

The patch was commited, but i have a problem in my machine and metacity:

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=485472

So, i prefer to leave this bug opened so that i can remember that metacity/gtk bug.
Comment 4 Jonh Wendell 2007-11-24 15:58:17 UTC
OK, we can close this one now, as the metacity bug was fixed :)
