I would find it very useful if the download manager tray wouldn't only say "2 downloads" when hovering with the mouse over it. It would be nice to see something like this:
" 2 downloads
kanotix.iso: 55%, 80 minutes remaining
ubuntu.iso: 98%", 20 minutes remaining

As i can agree with the fact, that a user should normally not be interested in the speed (in kB/sec) of a download, he is indeed interested when a download will be finished.

As an alternative i could imagine an animating tray that fills up until finished (but that would not make sense if there are more than 1 download)
