Description Matthew Nuzum 2007-09-28 18:43:00 UTC
Please describe the problem:
In Nautilus on the left side there are links to places. This same list is also shown in the open and save dialogs. However, in the open and save dialogs you click once to select an item from the list, but in Nautilus you must double click. Considering that they visually look the same it seems a bit inconsistent.

Steps to reproduce:
1. in firefox or any program, choose file -> open or file -> save
2. on the left side of the dialog window click once on "dekstop" and observe what happends
3. cancel out of this dialog and open a nautilus file browser
4. click once "dekstop" on the left side and observe what doesn't happen

Actual results:
in step 2 you see a list of files in the main window, in step 4 you don't

Expected results:
for them to work the same, and imho, that should be that single clicking works for both

Does this happen every time?
as far as I can tell, yes
