I do not know if this is a bug for Gimp or Photoshop. However, when I use the colorPick tool I get different values for the same image in the same spot. If these were close I would think it was my aim but values differ significantly. I can send someone the image if it would help. The image was created using Gimp. Typical CYMK values for the same spot in photoshop using an 11 pix average is:

C:35%
M:17%
Y:48%
K:0%

and for Gimp:

C:9%
M:0%
Y:21%
B:27%

The images "look" the same in both Photoshop and Gimp.

I'm running this under MS XP Professional versions 2002 SP 2
Gateway M6800, 2.13 GHz with 1GB of memory.

The conversion from RGB to CMYK is not well-defined and due to black pullout, there even exists a wide range of equivalent CMYK colors for any given RGB color. So it is not surprising that you get different results. This is not a bug.
