Description greg 2001-09-10 01:18:27 UTC
When you create a link to a folder on the desktop, then open the folder using
the link, you are browsing at ~/.nautilus/desktop/folder, which confuses the
heck out of the tree view. The tree view will no longer highlight the proper
folder in the tree and drilling down folders will not be expanded or
highlighted in the tree either. I'm assuming this has to do with the fact that
the .nautilus folder is hidden.

I think there might actually be a few problems / solutions here. The first is
discussed elsewhere about the desktop directory being hidden which causes many
annoyances other than just this. The next would be have the link resolved to
the "real" path before viewing it. The last would be to have the tree view show
hidden folders if they are currently being viewed in the window.

Changing to "old" target milestone for all bugs laying around with no milestone set.

The desktop directory is no longer hidden if im not mistaken.

This appears to be fixed in 2.0 (as far as I can tell; I admit I'm not
completely clear on the problem) so I'm marking FIXED.
