Please describe the problem:

"When i start cheese it just gets as far as opening a blank window and hangs (doesnt crash, just freezes and does nothing, ever). This camera does works fine with ekiga, canoraram and even kstars.

Output of cam from lsusb:

thanks for the bugreport! could you try to see if the camera works with "gstreamer-properties"?

I have the same problem
and the answer is NO, the webcam does not work with gstreamer-properties either.

It's an iSight (macbook) camera.

i suppose you have tried your isight with the 2.6.22 kernel. on that, isight doesnt work with gstreamer, but it does with ekiga. i have the same problem here, so im staying on the 2.6.20 kernel.
