Description Sebastian Dröge (slomo) 2007-09-08 18:46:54 UTC
Hi,
in the latest german banshee translation there's a translation with a completely different meaning:
#: ../src/Core/Banshee.Base/Banshee.PlayerMigration/PlayerImportSource.cs:58
msgid "Alternate Media Players"
msgstr "Alternative Medienwiedergabe"

I would suggest something like "Alternative Abspielprogramme".

Bye

Thank you for your feedback. I agree that »Medienwiedergabe« isn't the best translation although I think that »Wiedergabe« is a translation that comes pretty close to the meaning of »player«. I would like to translate »play« consistently with »wiedergeben« (»Playlist« => »Wiedergabeliste«) and I want to avoid using both »wiedergeben« and »abspielen« within the same translation. Therefore a would suggest to translate »Media Player« as »Wiedergabeprogramm«. Would this be ok?

Yes, sounds good to me :)

While fixing that you could also fix the two fuzzy translations (run make update-po and grep for "fuzzy") :)

bug fixed, fuzzy translation fixed.

Great, thanks :)
