Description owen-bugs 2007-08-30 13:32:51 UTC
Network manager appears to poll the current list of access points quite slowly, making it difficult to determine the best place to put the laptop to steal my neighbor's wifi signal. It takes over a minute to see any change in the list right now.

It would be nice if, while the nm-applet list of access points is being shown, network manager could poll the list more rapidly, say once every second. Then I could get realtime feedback about how well my neighbor's signal is coming in.

With this feature, there would need to be some tweaks to prevent access points from rapidly appearing and disappearing from the list.
